The winners of the joint contest organized by Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA), CRDF Global (US based organization) and its partner in Georgia GRDF were revealed.
The I and II places were awarded to Lingwing and Phage Nutraceuticals. It is worth mentioning that the both contestants were the winners of Startup Georgia high-tech component in 2016. The main aim of the contest was to promote the commercial production of the scientific Startups. The financial support for the entire Startup contest was provided by CRDF Global/US. The winner Startups were awarded with the grant amounting 30 000 USD.
Based on the applications the grant evaluation committee was established. The presentations of the participant startups continued for 2 days at Technopark. Specifically for the contest, the representatives from partner organizations and jury members visited Georgia. Apart from evaluation, the honorary jury members also did 2 days training for the startups/applicants.
GITA will continue the partnership with the given international, theme related organizations in future as well.
